$avings Plan Update

Are you a member of the Savings Plan?  If not, imagine this........

Every Thursday, you get out of your car or truck and happen to see some money on the ground.  There is a one-dollar bill and a twenty-dollar bill.  And, clipped to the bills is a piece of paper with your name on it.

And, every week, you walk away and leave the money on the ground.  This is exactly what happens when you do not take advantage of Carrier's contribution.

At the present, Carrier contributes 50% of the first $44 you put in each week.   In November of 2002, this will increase to 50% of the first $46.

You may also put in additional money, but Carrier will not match this.  Currently, you may contribute up to $66 in addition to the $44 per week.  In November of the year 2002, it will increase to $70!!

Lets put these numbers together for some examples using the current rate.  If you contribute $20 per week, Carrier will add another $10, for a total of $30 per week towards your retirement nest egg.  If you put in $50 per week, Carrier will add another $22 (50% of the first $44), for a total of $72.

Don't pass up this free money.  Be a member of the Savings Plan.  For additional information, contact a Union Benefits Specialist.
